Poor Neglected Blog

This has got to be the most neglected blog in all of blogland.  It has been a crazy, busy year thus far.  I'll give you all a quick update on the kids and throw in a few pictures for fun.

We surprised the kids with a trip to Disney World.  It was their Christmas present from us but we didn't travel for the trip until January. We were in Florida for a week in January for an Ethiopian adoption reunion and had a great time!  It was such a blessing to see kids who were once orphans with their families having fun! Ella had a blast and loved seeing her Ethiopian buddies! That was the start to our year and it was a great one! Now for an update on each kiddo.

Garrett worked hard to keep caught up in school and not let his grades drop even with a trip to Disney. We are super proud of him.  He is a great big brother. His favorite thing to do in the mornings is to get Ella out of her crib and his favorite thing after school is to play with her. :) He has been busy playing basketball right now and is doing a great job with it! He made two baskets last night and is turning into an aggressive player and goes after the ball. He starts baseball in the next few weeks and is very excited to be playing this year.  He has continued guitar lessons and attends the programs at church. He will be going to Young Lives Ablaze again this year in April with the children's ministry from church and he can't wait.

Ryan is doing well in Kindergarten and had a blast at Disney World. He rode Space Mountain and wanted to sit in the very front. I was behind him and was holding onto his head for dear life because I thought he was going to fly out. I've never prayed so hard for God to get us through that ride. He hated the ride but returned to school and said that it was his favorite ride. I'm sure because he thought it sounded cool. :)  He is getting ready to play baseball as well.  It is going to be a busy spring at the baseball fields for the Thomas family.  He loves going to church and told me his favorite Bible verse is Matthew John 17. Love him!

Ella is a typical two year old who wants to be independent! She is so strong willed and head strong. She loves her brothers and her daddy! She gets so excited when daddy and I get home from work and runs to use with open arms. She is so fun. She had a lot of fun at Disney and loved seeing Ethiopian kiddos. She talks about Larkin and Jillian all the time. She liked the characters at Disney but only from a distance. She was finally okay with the princesses. She frequently asks during the day, "Where is my RyRy?" or "Where is my Garrett?" She adores them!

That's it - that's an update on the kids.  Brent has been working nights for the past month straight. I'm so excited that he finishes up this weekend and will have days off again! Yay!!!  I've just been busy working, running kids around, making sure they are fed and in bed at a decent time and being momma to our three blessings. Fun times, indeeed!
