9/19/10 - United as a Forever Family with brothers, Garrett and Ryan!

9/17/10 - Leave Addis with our baby girl!

9/15/10 - Embassy Appointment

9/14/10 - Gotcha Day!!!!

9/1/10 - Paperwork submitted to Embassy.

8/5/10 - We passed court! Ella Woyneshet Thomas is an orphan no more!!!!

8/3/10 - Meetcha Day!!!

8/2/10 - Arrive in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

8/1/10 - Flying from Albuquerque to Houston to Frankfurt, Germany to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia!

7/31/10 - Driving to Albuquerque so we can fly to Houston, Frankfurt, Germany and then onto Addis Ababa on 8/1/10! Baby girl we are coming!

7/26/10 - Notified our court date was moved up to 8/5/10 and we needed to be in Ethiopia by 8/2/10!  Needless to say - this created a whirlwind of activity!

7/22/10 - Notified we had a court date of 10/1/10 but that AWAA was going to try to get it moved up.

7/12/10 - Paperwork submitted to receive a court date.

6/24/10 - Referral received for a beautiful 6 month old baby girl!!!!!!!!

6/12/10 - Have officially been on the adoption journey for one year!

6/11/10 - Six months waiting and one month on deck!

5/11/10 - Five months waiting and we are ON DECK!!!

4/11/10 - Four months waiting! We are half way there!

3/11/10 - Three months waiting! Celebrating with cake after baseball practice!

2/11/10 - Two months waiting! We wanted to celebrate with cake but were in Albuquerque at the hospital with Grandpa instead.

1/11/10 - One month waiting! We celebrated with cake just because it was something different. :)

12/11/09 - Officially DTE!!!

12/9/09 - AWAA took paperwork to US Embassy and State Dept to be certified

11/30/09 - Sent dossier to AWAA

11/27/09 - Received I-171H (Best Black Friday bargain ever)

11/17/09 - Sent copy of social worker's license to USCIS

11/12/09 - Received notice that USCIS needed a copy of our social worker's license.

11/6/09 - Did fingerprints for USCIS

11/5/09 - Received letter stating we could do fingerprints - we were on our way to Lubbock that afternoon

10/19/09 - Received Receipt that USCIS in El Paso had our application

10/10/09 - Received I-600A back from USCIS telling us to mail it to Lewisville, TX

10/8/09 - Took Dossier Cover Sheet and Power of Attorney to Secretary of State's office to have them certified

9/29/09 - Overnighted I-600A to USCIS in El Paso, TX

9/24/09 - HS sent to us from agency

9/21/09 - HS approved by AWAA

9/17/09 - Went to the doctor for physical exams and bloodwork

9/14/09 - HS completed

9/11/09 - Went to Adoptions Plus for final HS visit

9/10/09 - Heather met us at the hotel in Albuquerque to have another HS visit

8/31/09 - Submit Informed Consent and Release of Liability to Utah Child and Family Services for background screening

8/31/09 - Heather came to our home to interview us and daddy separately for the HS

8/30/09- Met Social Worker, Heather Wayne, at our home to start HS, mommy had her individual interview at this time

8/27/09 - Completed Hague Adoption Training

8/26/09 - Received passports (it took us 10 days to get them) Go God!

8/18/09 - Submitted financial statement for HS

8/11/09 - Requested birth certificates and marriage license

8/11/09 - Registered for Hague Adoption Training

8/10/09 - Signed Weapons Safety Agreement for HS (Daddy was not happy about this but I said to sign it anyway)

8/10/09 - Submitted fingerprints to NM CYFD for background clearance for HS

8/5/09 - Received Medical Report from doctor for HS

8/4/09 - Requested Life Insurance Verification

8/09 - Gathered reference letters for HS and Dossier

7/22/09 - Submitted more paperwork (Questionnaires) to Adoptions Plus for HS information

7/20/09 - Obtain Police Background Clearance for HS

7/19/09 - Mailed Family Service Plan and Dossier Guidelines Agreement to AWAA

7/19/09 - Submitted initial paperwork and application to Adoptions Plus for HS

7/6/09 - Submitted initial agreements and first payment to AWAA

6/25/09 - Received phone call from AWAA approving us for the Ethiopia program

6/12/09 - Submitted initial application to AWAA

5/25/09 - Had photo shoot for family photo by Penny Rodgers (we didn't even have a current family photo to submit)

10/08 - 5/09 - Talking and praying and researching adoption countries and agencies
